Administration Role - Parental Leave Position

About the role

As a part-time position under MA000100 – Social and Community Services Award 2010, this role consists of 21 hours per week in coverage of a parental leave absence, with some flexibility of days and hours for the right candidate. 


Available for a period of six months, this contract will commence June 2022 and finish December 2022, with the possibility of transitioning to a different role within the organisation upon the completion of this contract.  


Under the guidance of the Human Resources Coordinator and the CEO the successful applicant will manage BWNG’s website; design graphics and social media tiles; plus prepare, publish and analyse content for our social media pages and a range of printed mediums. Additionally, they will assist team members with utilising Microsoft Office programs, perform device maintenance, manage user profiles, and liaise with external IT providers. 


This could be a great opportunity for an experienced individual seeking employment during school hours, or someone currently studying Marketing and Communications, Information Technology or similar disciplines, who seeks to gain hands-on experience in these fields.  

Selection criteria

The successful candidate will:  

  • Hold or be working toward a relevant qualification in Marketing and Communications, Information Technology or have equivalent experience in a similar role.  
  • Possess Certificate III or higher qualification in Business Administration with advanced skills in the Microsoft Office suite of programs, especially Word, Outlook and Excel. 
  • Proven experience with graphic design programs such as Canva. 
  • Proven experience in successfully managing business pages in social media platforms such as Meta. 
  • Possess effective interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to work on their own as well as within a team.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and excellent time management skills.  
  • Be willing to comply with BWNG’s Vaccination Policy, as well as undergo a Working With Children Check and a Police Check.
