We're Hiring - Age Care Services Officer

Join Our Team

Employment Type: Full-time

BWNG is seeking a motivated and organised Aged Care Services Officer to coordinate our Food Services Program, Fleet Management, Volunteer Coordination, and Health Transport Services.

This diverse role leads the coordination of Meals on Wheels (MOW) volunteer engagement/coordination, fleet management, and health transport services. It ensures all programs run efficiently, meet compliance requirements, and deliver high-quality support to clients.
 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordination, planning, and delivery of hot (MOW) and frozen meals 
  • Coordinate volunteers, including recruitment, induction and ongoing record keeping 
  • Manage fleet vehicles, servicing, and compliance requirements
  • Schedule and coordinate volunteer health transport services
  • Ensure food safety, health and safety plus regulatory compliance
  • Maintain accurate records for all programs, reporting, and budget oversight
  • Support community engagement and program improvement

About You:

  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Experienced with Microsoft Excel and Word, and quick to learn and navigate new online software applications.
  • Experience in aged care, community services, hospitality, or volunteer coordination (desirable)
  • Ability to manage multiple programs and priorities
  • Commitment to professionalism, compliance, and client-centred service

Food Collection Volunteer

Volunteer with us

Are you a community-minded person with your own transport, and a spare hour each day, Monday to Friday? 

We are seeking a volunteer to collect donated food items from local businesses each workday, and deliver them to the Community Pantry at BWNG If you haven’t volunteered before, this is a great way to dip your toe into the rewarding experience of volunteering.  

It is also a great opportunity for anyone seeking voluntary work to meet Centrelink's mutual obligation requirements. 

Please note, this role is subject to a Police Check and Working With Children Check.
