HLTAID011 - Provide First Aid includes:
Basic first aid skills are a prerequisite for many employment positions. This course covers handling and caring for minor wounds, basic life support skills, emergency response techniques, and how to perform CPR.
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a statement of attainment which is valid for three years.
Please note; the CPR unit within the course (HLTAID009 Provide CPR) needs to be updated every 12 months.
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and applies to anyone who may be required to provide CPR in various situations, including community and workplace settings.
This unit needs to be renewed every 12 months.
Participants will gain the knowledge and confidence to perform CPR on an adult, child or infant, to describe alternative methods for delivering rescue breaths and how to manage a victim of drowning.
