First Aid Courses in Gloucester NSW

Basic first aid skills are a prerequisite for many employment positions. This course covers handling and caring for minor wounds, basic life support skills, emergency response techniques, and  HLTAID001 Provide CPR 

 Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive a  statement of attainment HLTAID002 Provide Basic Emergency Life Support  (First Aid Level 1) which is valid for three years. 

The CPR component of this course (HLTAID009 Provide CPR) needs to be updated every 12 months.

• Duration of course – Full course  9.30am - 4pm 
• General competencies – Trainees who successfully complete this nationally recognised training will be awarded the statement of attainment: HLTAID002 Provide  Basic Emergency Life Support.
• Pre-requisite Courses – Nil
• Assessment – Practical assessment, written and oral questions. 

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).  

This unit applies to anyone who may be required to provide CPR in various situations,  including community and workplace settings. 

Participants will gain the knowledge and confidence to perform CPR on an adult, child or infant, to describe alternative methods for delivering rescue breaths and how to manage a victim of drowning.

• General competencies –  Trainees who successfully complete this nationally recognised training  will be awarded the statement of attainment: HLTAID009- Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
