Safety Net Administrator

About the role

Bucketts Way Neighbourhood Group inc. (BWNG) is looking for a confident, community minded individual to join our Community Services team in the role of Safety Net Administrator. 

The Safety Net Program operates between 10am – 2pm Tuesdays and Thursdays. This is a rewarding role of a minimum eight hours per week, which could suit someone seeking employment within school hours. 

Working closely with the Community Connections Officer, the successful candidate will connect community members experiencing hardship with services and supports to meet individual needs.

Key responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for: 

  • Assessing client needs, and providing appropriate assistance and referrals in accordance with funding guidelines, and in a responsive manner. 
  • Inputting data and maintaining client information accurately, and in a timely manner.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and statutory requirements. 

Selection criteria

The successful candidate will:  

  • Demonstrate high levels of integrity, approachability, empathy and responsiveness.
  • Possess strong organisational skills with great time management and attention to detail. 
  • Display good verbal and interpersonal communication skills.  
  • Be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Office, and be prepared to learn and understand new software programmes required for reporting. 
  • Be willing to undergo a Police Check and Working With Children Check. 
  • Adhere to BWNG’s vaccine policy.
